Literature Night

A litearary happening organised by Czech Centers in collaboration with the Prague EUNIC cluster, representatives of international offices, and the publishing house Labyrint. It takes place every year on the evening before the opening of World of Books, the biggest book fair in the country.

The project has been run by Czech Centers since 2006. Seven years ago, the Union of Librarians and Information Workers  came on board, and in 2013 the event expanded into other Czech cities beyond Prague. It is now organised in 50 Czech cities, and in more than 30 cities internationally.

Literature Night is a cultural event which offers the wider public the chance to get acquainted with the work of contemporary European writers. It has presented dozens of works to an ever-growing audience.

Idea's Yard

Ideas Yard is a project of the Prague EUNIC group, and one in which the Czech Centers HQ is actively involved. It presents a series of debates with experts from European countries on various contemporary themes (environment and sustainability,  the role of gender in society, education) with the unifying theme being European-ness. The project supported financially by the EUNIC Cluster Fund.
