Join us for Dutch writer Paul Glaser’s fascinating book talk on Dancing With the Enemy. In Dutch, translated into Czech.

Paul Glaser was born in 1947 in Maastricht, the Netherlands as the eldest of five children. He worked as a manager and director of several educational and health institutions. With ancestral history in Bohemia, Paul Glaser’s great-grandfather Berent David Glaser was born in Prague in 1722. He is married and has three daughters.

Book DescriptionDancing With the Enemy is a true account of Paul Glaser’s aunt, a Jewish dance instructor who was betrayed to the Nazis by the two men she loved. She managed to survive WWII by teaching dance lessons to the SS at Auschwitz. Her epic life becomes a window into the author’s own past and the key to discovering his Jewish roots.
