Electrovision - Europe Day Celebration

The EU Delegation to the state of Israel in collaboration with the EU Member States and the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality together with the Czech Centre Tel Aviv will celebrate Europe Day at the “Eurovision Village” in the Charles Clore Park.

The main event, under the working-title: Electro-vision, a line-up of exciting contemporary European electronic artists will perform live shows and DJ sets on an open-air stage to a crowd of thousands, on the green meadow of Charles Clore Park, overlooking the beautiful seas of the Tel Aviv beach.

The musical theme that we’re aiming for will mainly center around electronic genres such as house, tropical, balearic, disco and anything else as long as it suits the vibrant, fun, festive and beginning-of-summer vibes that characterize this event.   We’re aiming to showcase a blend of artists representing the various European countries, ranging from some of the leading names in the global electronic music scene, to smaller yet fresh and promising new talents. Some that have previously played in Tel Aviv and are loved by the local audience, along with those that are yet to be discovered but we believe have what it takes to amaze the crowd.

The musical curation and concept design will managed by Ms. Tom Koren, local Dj, music columnist for Haaretz newspaper and former artist booker & hospitality manager for prestigious festivals and park concerts (e.g. Radiohead, Tame Impala, Brian Wilson, Thundercat, Meteor Festival and many more). Assisting her will be Mr. Ofir Toker, also a local Dj and prominent nightlife figure, who ran the very successful News party line which was in charge of bringing over famous international acts such as Nicolas Jaar, Dixon, Tale of Us and many more.

Hellwana, the winner of music export project of Czech Radio’s youth station Radio Wave, will perform in Israel on May 15 as part of Europe Day.

Hellwana appeared on the Czech music scene out of nowhere in 2017 and made a great statement of confidence with her first EP called Sunbeam influenced by Grime, R’n’B, Neo-Soul and Trap. She’s a great singer, rapper and performer. In her lyrics she pushes body positivity and advocates for young women. Hellwana spent her childhood in England so English is her second mother tongue. As a member of Trash Gang collective, Hellwana currently works mainly with her partner producer and DJ Cyper Sound with who she also performs. Among others, she mentions Jorja Smith and Skepta as her favourites. Besides her music career she also works as a fashion model.
