The exhibition of figure drawing presents a collection of the best student works of the year 2014 from the participating art schools.

Project FIGURAMA was created in 2001, on Karel Pokorny initiative, formally trained artist (Faculty of Architecture, University of Technology in Brno) and Prof. Boris Jirku (the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague), who organized a common exhibition of figurative works made by their students. First of all it was just one-off action but it became an annual project of international character, to which were gradually joined another art schools in Austria, Poland, Germany, Spain, USA and other countries. From 2002, each year is published an extensive catalog FIGURAMA, which also serves as a teaching material.

The aim of this project, which is focused on figurative work (drawing, painting, sculpture), is to map and compare the approach to rendering of the human body at each participating art schools. Furthermore, the FIGURAMA leads students to understand that drawing, including figure drawing, is an indispensable part of most artistic disciplines even today, within the superiority of the new media. FIGURAMA teaches also new way of perceiving the human body, supports drawing skills of young artists and helps to develop their way of thinking and creativity.

Over the duration of the project more than 50 exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad was prepared.
